7/31/2014 State.co.us Executive Branch Mail -Re: Hearing Request by Vento Group - Southfield Mine <br />Subject: Hearing Request by Vento Group - Southfield Mine <br />Hello Everyone - I write to renew communications regarding the pending Vento Group request for a hearing <br />regarding the Notice of Violation issued to EFCI (Well MW NW). <br />The previous hearing request was continued to the July 30, 2014 meeting of the Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board, pending possible settlement discussions. Formal hearing posting and document submittal deadlines are <br />fast approaching. <br />Please advise as to the intentions of the parties. <br />By way of DRMS update, the NOV remains open, and the compliance deadline is extended to November. The <br />DRMS did not agree with the EFCI submittal proposing that the well MW NW remains functional for the <br />intended purpose. The original abatement requiring repair of MW NW remains in effect.
