L, Korinek Sand & Gravel
640 Lane 15
Manzanola, CO 81058
Cell (719) 469-6510
Email-korineksand@gmail.com
July 25, 2014
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
I, Gerald Korinek, owner of Korinek Sand & Gravel, during the past 12 months, have mined
approximately 34, 104 tons of dirt and gravel from the permitted area.
The area on map that is shaded pink is the disturbed area from the last 12 months, which represents
about 1 acre of permitted area.
The area on the map that is shaded in green is newly reclaimed pit area of permitted land.
The area on the map that is shaded in purple is area of permitted pit that I plan to reclaim in the next 12
months.
We've been in a severe drought condition this summer which has affected our business & our
reclamation efforts but have established permanent pasture on new areas. We anticipate a similar year
in the next 12 months as far as sales are concerned. We should not have as much affected land in the
coming year because the depth of our gravel bank has increased the further away from the river we
mine. We shouldn't have any trouble with anticipated reclamation efforts provided this drought does
not continue.
If you have any questions, please call me at(719)469-6510
Sincerely,
Gerald W. Korinek
