These six sites, labeled A
through F on the attached maps, will be located on MCC fee property near Lick Creek
on previously disturbed lands along existing unimproved roads. The table below
provides the approximate drilling locations and elevations.
Site
CO State Plane, Central Zone (502) NAD27 MY)
Approx. No drainage alteration or relocation is anticipated.
An air rotary rig will be utilized to drill a borehole about eight inches in diameter hole to
allow for the placement of surface casing through loose, unconsolidated zones at the
top of the hole, if needed. A small pit will be excavated with a backhoe approximately 8'
wide, 8' long, and 6' deep, to contain drill cuttings and drill mud and water if wet zones
are encountered requiring water to be used during drilling. Soils excavated from the pit
will be stockpiled nearby.
The drillholes will be completed to the bottom of the E seam. Geophysical logs and
grids will be utilized to aid in predicting depths to and through the E Seam. Total
proposed drilling depths will vary between 20 feet and 214 feet at sites A through F, with
