EXHIBIT L
RECLAMATION COSTS
We have stated in our Reclamation Plan that the backfilling of the quarry would be carried on
simultaneously with our mining operation. The overburden, as it is removed, is truck hauled to the upper
or westerly portion of the mined-out quarry. Therefore, the majority of our reclaiming becomes part of
our mining cost. The resulting reclamation costs would be final grading and contouring, revegetation and
fertilizing.
Because of this type of operation, it is nearly impossible to arrive at quantities except for the
revegetation. The quantity of topsoil respreading is also an unknown because the area we are mining is
rockline, illustrated by Exhibit I. We are mining Soils Mapping Unit ROR perthe Soil Conservation
Service Report.
Please refer to previous correspondence and the Pete Lien & Sons, Inc. Response to Owl Canyon
Quarry; DRMS File No. M-1977302; Adequacy Review—Amendment No. 3 letter dated April 1, 2014
for additional information pertaining to calculating reclamation costs.
The 1998 estimated reclamation costs for this plan are as follows:
Exhibit L-Reclamation Costs
(112) Permit Application-1986
L-1
