backfilling will proceed to BF II and then BF III, BF IV, BF V, BF VI, BF VIII, BF IX, BF X, BF XI, and BF XII. The
general plan is to have backfilling and reclamation occurring as closely behind quarrying as possible.
While overburden is being removed from Mining Area A2, backfilling will be taking place in Back Fill Area
BF II, from there backfilling will begin in BF IV and proceed east and then south as mining areas are
depleted. Overall depths of overburden will vary but a minimum depth of two (2)feet will be
maintained to provide a sufficient base for vegetation.
Mining Area B, D
Additional reserves within the permit boundary are outlined in Mining Areas B (possible reserves) and
Mining Area D (probable reserves). These reserves will be evaluated and mined as previously mined
acres are reclaimed and released from the Reclamation Board.
Page 2-Owl Canyon 2013 Revision
D-2
