Exhibit D-Reclamation Plan
At the completion of mining the slopes to the north and west will be reclaimed to a slope of 4:1
(horizontal: vertical). The backfill to grade is estimated at approximately 10,000 cubic yards. The
overburden and topsoil will be taken from the existing stockpile to the southwest of the site. The
remaining pit floor will have a 5%slope and flow to the east. The area will be covered with 4" of topsoil
to be reseeded. Covering the total disturbed area of approximately 3.83 acres, 4 inches deep will
require approximately 2060 cubic yards. As previously mentioned, the topsoil will be taken from the
existing stockpile on site. The disturbed area will be tracked and reseeded with a mixture of native
grasses, per NRCS, Forest Service, and or DRMS recommendations. When the area has been sufficiently
(70%) revegitated erosion/sediment controls will be removed and the site will be returned to U.S.
Forest Service use. A drawing of the reclamation plan is attached in the Maps section.
The estimated cost of reclamation is approximately$16,050.00 The cost of backfill, grading, and topsoil
application was calculated based on moving 10,000 cubic yards of backfill and 2,060 cubic yards of
topsoil from the existing stockpile on site. Using the Caterpillar Performance Handbook Edition 35 to
estimate performance/production of a D6R bulldozer, it was estimated to take about 76 hours to
complete. Using the CDOT 2013 average bid unit cost for dozing of$128.03 per hour plus 15%
($147.23/hr) results in an estimated cost of approximately$11,040.00 Seeding cost was estimated
based on a total disturbed area of 4.0 acres. Using CDOT's 2013 average bid unit cost for seeding
(native) of$628.42/acre plus 15% ($722.68) results in an estimated cost for seeding of$2,890.00
Mulching cost was also estimated based on a total disturbed area of 4.0 acres. Using CDOT's 2013
average bid unit cost for mulching(weed free) of$447.12 plus 15%($514.18) results in an estimated
cost for mulching of$2,060.00 Adding the costs of backfill, grading.Topsoil, seeding, and mulching
results in a total estimated reclamation cost of$16,050.00
