<br /> <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br /> <br />July 17, 2014 <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Brian Watterson <br /> <br />Moffat County Mining, LLC <br /> <br />29515 Routt County Road #27 <br /> <br />Oak Creek, CO 80467 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RE: Williams Fork Mines; Permit No. C-1981-044 <br />nd <br /> 2 Quarter 2014 Pond Inspection Report Review <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Watterson, <br /> <br />nd <br />The Division finds Williams Fork Mine’s sediment pond inspection report for the 2 Quarter <br />2014 in compliance with the following rules: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />4.05.9(14)(a)(b) – All impoundments were inspected by a qualified registered <br />professional engineer and other qualified professional specialist. <br /> <br /> <br />4.05.9(15)(a) – No appearance of erosion, instability, structural weakness or other <br />hazardous conditions were observed. <br /> <br /> <br />4.05.9(15)(b) – Existing and required monitoring procedures were met. <br /> <br /> <br />4.05.9(15)(c) – The depth of impounded water at the time of inspection were <br />documented. <br /> <br /> <br />4.05.9(15)(d) – Existing storage capacity of impoundments were documented <br /> <br /> <br />4.05.9(15)(e) – There were no other aspects of the structures affecting stability or <br />requiring maintenance needing documentation. <br />nd <br /> <br /> <br />4.05.9(17) – The impoundments were examined for the 2 quarter of 2014, by a qualified <br />person, for the appearance of structural weakness or other hazard conditions. No hazard <br />conditions or weaknesses were noted.
