As stated in the attached narrative, the sealing procedure outlined is the same
procedures and equipment that were used with great success for sealing and reclaiming the drill
holes and water monitoring wells at Energy Fuels' Kerr /Marr mine located in Jackson County,
Colorado. The Colorado Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Colorado Division of
Reclamation Mining and Safety (DRMS) accepted and approved these procedures at the
Kerr /Marr (Kerr) mine.
Glenn Miller, geohydrologist at Pronghorn Geologic Services of Gillette, Wyoming
oversaw the hole /well reclamation at Kerr and Mr. Miller installed many of the holes at
Southfield and recorded the geohydrology. DLD Pipe Recovery Services of Grand Junction,
Colorado, utilizing their equipment, did the hole /well reclamation field work at Kerr. EFCI is
contracting with both of the above contractors to do the hole /well reclamation work at Southfield.
The experienced contactors will be beneficial to the Southfield sealing operation.
A list of open holes /wells surveyed during the recent (June -July, 2014) field
reconnaissance at Southfield is enclosed with this submittal as well as the respective updated
map, replacement pages, descriptive narrative and revision form.
If you have any questions or need additional information please contact me.
Sincerely,
orge V P tterson
Energy Fuels Coal, Inc.
Enclosures: Application Revision Form;
List of open drillholes /wells surveyed at Southfield;
Descriptive narrative of hole /well sealing procedure;
Replacement pages 4.07 -1 and 4.07 -2 to be replaced in Section 4.07.3,
"Permanent Sealing ";
Updated map, Mine Area Surface and Groundwater Hydrology, Map 12.
