3.3 Planned Disturbances/Reclamation for 2013—2014
Planning is still in progress to determine areas that may be reclaimed in the next annual period.
There are no full lateral legs with all wells plugged and abandoned even after work is complete
on the plugging and abandonment of one string of production well 29-26. There are a few
partial lateral legs that have the last well on a line that is completely plugged and abandoned
such as well 20-35 and well 20-31. These areas could be re-contoured and reclaimed without
disruption of the wells further up the lateral leg and closer to the main well field road.
Demolition of the piping and removal of the well skids on these wells is likely and re-contouring
and reclamation will follow if the demolition and re-contouring work is completed in a
timeframe that accommodates a late fall seeding. Presently no definitive plan is in place. No
new disturbances are planned for the 2014—2015 reporting period.
As inspections and monitoring are conducted in the well field, areas where reclamation
vegetation has failed to establish are recorded. Vegetation management will include the
maintenance of storm water control features as well as seasonal application of BLM approved
herbicides.
r
Ajo '
*'P".
NOV
a
x ,
t • fA
F
PHOTO 13 - Bright sun illuminating striking purple flowers on penstemon plant growing on cut slope of main
well field roadway.
