Weld County does not <br /> believe that this facility will be an intermittent operation. While excavation and processing is <br /> expected to be seasonal in nature, hauling from the material stockpiles will occur year round. <br /> Weld County does not expect activity to stop at the site for more than 180 days. <br /> Comment 10: "Please provide the nature of the stratum immediately beneath the material to be <br /> mined in sedimentary deposits, per Rule 6.4.4(o. <br /> Response 10: Alluvium materials similar to the material being mined are located beneath the <br /> material to be mined. The water table is approximately 2 feet below the level to which Weld <br /> County will mine. To prevent the exposure of ground water, Weld County will not mine the <br /> alluvium materials located beneath the material to be mined.
