West Elk Mine 2013 Annual Hydrology Report 28 <br />3.2.1.14 Deep Creek Trail Spring <br />Deep Creek Trail Spring is located in upper Deep Creek which is tributary to the NFGR <br />(Map 2). This spring is located south of the southeast mine panels area and east of the <br />SOD mine panels area. The source of this spring appears to issue from sandstone <br />bedrock. This spring has been monitored since 2007. <br />3.2.1.15 Spring 2012 -1 <br />Spring 2012 -1 is located in an unnamed tributary to upper Deep Creek, which is tributary <br />to the NFGR (Map 2). This spring is located south of the southeast mine panels area and <br />east of the SOD mine panels area. The source of this spring appears to issue from <br />alluvium. Baseline monthly monitoring of Spring 2012 -1 was conducted in WY 2013. <br />The spring appears to have seasonal flow, and was dry from June through October 2013. <br />Routine hydrologic monitoring (3 times per year) at this location will commence in WY <br />2014. <br />3.2.1.16 Spring 2012 -2 <br />Spring 2012 -2 is located in an unnamed tributary to upper Deep Creek, which is tributary <br />to the NFGR (Map 2). This spring is located south of the southeast mine panels area and <br />east of the SOD mine panels area. The source of this spring appears to issue from <br />alluvium.
