Building <br />Containers of fire - fighting chemicals and weed control chemicals may be stored in the Shop/Warehouse Building <br />on a temporary or long -term basis. <br />Rock -Dust Tanks - Four rock -dust tank installations were established and used to support active mining operations at <br />the following locations: <br />Empire Village <br />Shop (2) <br />No. 5A Portal <br />These installations were used to transfer rock -dust through boreholes into the underground workings for rock - dusting <br />mine entries to reduce the potential for ignition and propagation of coal -dust explosions. The rock -dust tanks have <br />been removed and refurbished for use at Twentymile Coal, LLC's Foidel Creek Mine. <br />Bathhouses - The men's bathhouse, located adjacent to the main office building, and the women's bathhouse, located <br />nearby, were used for showering by mine personnel. A visitor's bathhouse was located adjacent to the women's <br />bathhouse. These facilities were located in the general mine office area, as shown on Map 26. All bathhouse facilities <br />have been demolished, and the associated disturbance areas reclaimed. <br />Coal Handling/Storage Facilities - The major components of the Coal Handling /Storage Facilities are located in the <br />general facilities area, and included: <br />• No. 5 Mine Conveyor <br />• No. 5A Conveyor and Transfer (Mine Overland) <br />• 48 -inch Overland Conveyor (Mine Overland) <br />• Stacking Tube <br />• Primary Raw Coal Stockpile <br />• 30,000 Ton Raw Coal Stockpile <br />• Reclaim Tunnel and Conveyor <br />• Screening and Sizing Building <br />• 36 -inch Overland Conveyor and Sampling Building (Loadout) <br />• Silo Transfer Conveyor (Loadout) <br />• 10,000 Ton Storage Silo <br />• Laboratory and Sample Shed <br />• Railroad Spur and De -icing System <br />• Track Scale and Scale Building <br />No. 5 Mine Conveyor and Stacker Belt. Historically, the No. 5 Conveyor extended from the No. 5 Portal and fed coal <br />to the No. 5 Stacker Belt. From the stacker, coal was fed to the raw coal storage pile.
