June 28, 2014
Kate Pickford
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining&Safety
691 County Road 233, Suite A2
Durango, CO 81301-6580
Hello Kate,
I am writing you to express my support/concern for C&J Gravel in regards to them
being named in the violations regarding John Avery. As I understood from
conversations with you that C&J Gravel was not at fault or really being investigated,
it was John Avery as the landowner&operator of his operation. I feel C&J Gravel
was misled just as much as Division of Mining, myself and the other neighbors and
parties involved, by Mr.Avery. I know that we have pushed for the Divisions help in
this situation regarding the gravel pit Mr.Avery has dug, but I want to be clear that
we are not holding or considering C&J responsible. They were simply contracted to
do a job.
Please let me know if there are any other ways I can communicate this.
Thank You,
Jeff&Claire Bradshaw
cc: Virginia Brannon, Division Director, Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety,
Department of Natural, Resources, State of Colorado
Tony Waldron, Minerals Program Supervisor, Division of Reclamation, Mining
and Safety Department of Natural Resources, State of Colorado
Russ Means, Grand Junction Field Office, Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety, Department of Natural Resources State of Colorado
