Watterson <br />Twentymile Coal Company <br />29515 Routt County Road #27 <br />Oak Creek, CO 84067 <br />RE: Twentymile Coal Company, Permit C- 1982 -056 <br />Second Quarter 2014 Sediment Pond Inspection Report Review <br />Dear Mr. Watterson: <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (CDRMS) has reviewed and found the above <br />referenced report to be in compliance with the following CDRMS regulation: <br />4.05.9(17) - Examined at least quarterly by a qualified person designated by the operator, for <br />appearance of structural weakness and other hazardous conditions. <br />4.05.9(17) - A copy of the report shall be submitted to the Division on a quarterly basis. <br />The second quarter sediment pond inspection reports were received by the Division on 07 July 2014. <br />Sediment pond inspections were conducted by TC during the last week of June 2014. <br />It is noted that maintenance items conducted include the clearing around the v -wier at the FCT Pond, <br />clearing of non -coal waste at the Area #1 Pit. Maintenance items required include: clearing of flume and <br />adding a new guage at Pond B, clearing of delta at the west end and the area around the flume will be <br />cleared of vegetation and erosion control installed at Pond D, clearing of delta at Pond E, clearing area <br />around flume at Pond F, removal of cattails at the Waste Water Treatment Pond #1 and #3, and repair of <br />erosion on west slope of the 6 MN Sediment Pond. These items reflect maintenance issues noted in the <br />Division's inspection reports. <br />If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
