William A. Bear
Page 4of5
July 7, 2014
i
f {
I
46. On April 24, 2014, the Division emailed an additional adequacy item to BRL based on
comments received from the Division of Water Resources regarding the water augmentation
plan and the need for an update to include the increased evaporative loss associated with the
expansion of Pond J, as well as the need to address the Division of Water Resource's
requirement that all impounded waters be released within 72 hours of capture. BRL
subsequently revised the plan for Pond J to decrease the sediment storage in order to keep the
primary spillway elevation at the previously approved elevation to maintain compliance with
the current augmentation plan. As previously discussed under TR -87, the Division was of the
understanding that increasing the aerial extent of the pond surface would increase the
evaporative loss from the pond. BRL has contacted the Division of Water Resources for
clarification on this issue. Once we get clarification, we can determine how to proceed on this
issue.
47. Please provide a replacement page EXH -8 -173 that notes that pages EXH -8 -173 through EXH -
8-180xxviii-e are intentionally left blank.
