Stover and Associates, Inc. <br />Gary Harding, Bowie Resources, LLC <br />Topsoil (Rule 4.06): <br />Two stock piles were observed during this inspection. One was "topsoil" and the other was <br />"suitable cover material" as approved by the Division. The topsoil stockpile had no vegetation <br />on it at the time of inspection because of the current redistribution of this material at the west end <br />of Gob #4. Upon completion of redistribution, seeding will need to take place to ensure there is <br />adequate protection from wind/water erosion. There is a silt fence installed to protect topsoil <br />material from leaving the stockpile site. <br />Roads (Rule 4.03): <br />All haul roads inspected appeared in good condition, with the exception of drainage control in <br />areas around and adjacent to the wash plant. Water from the wash out plant was draining across <br />the road into an area that was not designed to receive drainage. Drainage ditches and culverts in <br />this area need to be cleaned out and maintained. <br />Revegetation (Rule 4.15): <br />Weeds are abundant around the West and East Diversion ditches, Gob Pile #2, F Ditches, J <br />Ditches, and Gob Pile #1. Weed spraying should be scheduled as soon as possible. <br />Signs and Markers (Rule 4.02): <br />The mine identification sign at the entrance from State Highway 133 is intact and contained all <br />necessary information in accordance with 4.02.2. The disturbed area perimeter has been marked <br />with PVC Pipes in accordance with 4.02.3. The topsoil stockpile was marked in accordance with <br />4.02.7. <br />Coal Mine Waste (Rules 4.10 and 4.11) <br />
