BLACK RANGE
June 26, 2014 M I N E R A L $
.State of Colorado
/Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
V Attn: Mr. Tim Cazier
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203 Di ` ,, 01,
Re: Hansen Uranium Project; DRMS NOI File No. Ar .
✓0-2009-025 MD02 Stipulation No. 1 Analyses 4--
Dear Mr. Cazier,
As per Black Range Minerals' (BLR) Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) NOI File
No. P-2009-025; MD02 and Stipulation No. 1 therein, please find enclosed laboratory analytical
results from three (3) mud pits utilized for drilling activities undertaken in 2013. Stipulation No. 1
requires that BLR commits to collecting and analyzing samples to characterize mud pits used for
circulating fluid during drilling activities.
During the months of September, October and November, 2013, BLR completed five (5) boreholes
for the installation five groundwater monitoring wells. The boreholes were completed at two primary
locations referred to as clusters to target groundwater for quality monitoring at varying elevations in
each cluster area. Due to the proximity of the boreholes to one another in each cluster, drilling
operations were completed using three mud pits identified in the enclosed laboratory data as MW-
F NORTH PIT, MW-F SOUTH PIT, and MW-DG PIT. Samples were collected and submitted for
analyses in accordance with Stipulation No. 1 and a letter from the DRMS to BLR dated
September 14, 2012 which clarified definitions and procedures of the stipulation.
AZC Laboratories, Inc. undertook the stipulated analyses for submitted samples from BLR for
background cover, background contents, and post-drilling contents. Respectively, these samples
can be identified as PRE TOP, PRE BTM, and CONTENTS in the sample ID on the lab sheets
following the mud pit name. All analyses enclosed indicate BLR drilling activities have left each
disturbance area's radium and uranium activity levels below those defined in Stipulation No. 1. A
summary of the results is enclosed in Table 1.
Due to weather and ground conditions, final grading and seeding of the disturbance from activities
in 2013 occurred in the spring of 2014 and as such a final post-drilling cover sample is yet to be
collected and submitted for analyses. BLR intends to collect, submit and report the final sample
results this summer.
Sincerely,
t
Patrick Siglin
Geologist
w/ Enclosures
110 N.
