0
EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN
The affected land will be partally reclaimed when approximately fifty percent of the proposed pit area
has been mined. The remaining portion of the land will be reclaimed upon completion of the site for
mining purposes. Reclamation of the land back to sustainable rangeland is a priority of the owner/
operator as each acre of reclaimed rangeland provides an incremental increase in grazable acreage.
The maximum gradient of reclaimed slopes (horizontal:vertical) will be 3:1. Any waste rock will be used
in grading final slopes for reclamation.
Four (4) to 6 inches of topsoil is currently present on the site and will be stripped, stockpiled and
covered with manure to minimize erosion.
The quality and fertility of stockpiled soil will not have changed significantly during stockpiling. However,
amendments will be applied if soil testing indicates nutrient deficiencies.
Reclamation of Disturbed areas: Reseeding described in the table shown on the following page:
The final use of the reclaimed mined area is rangeland. No trees will be removed form the rangeland.
No buildings will remain after reclamation.
All slopes will be graded to 3:1 or flatter gradient. All disturbed areas will be re- vegetated with native
grasses in accordance with the seeding plan.
No impoundments will remain after reclamation.
The average thickness of replaced topsoil will be 5 inches.
Four X Ranch Gravel Pit application
