The Board members are
appointed by the Park County Commissioners, with the role of advising the Commissioners on environmental
issues throughout the County. Negative Impact to water, both surface flows and aquifers, is a major priority of the
Board.
I am forwarding a letter from Mrs. Eileen Schmidt stating her concerns with a gravel and placer operation (permit
no. M-84-094) North of Fairplay and adjacent to the Middle Fork of the South Platte River. Concerns primarily
relate to noise, hours of operation, property values, air and water quality and compliance with permit stipulations.
The next official meeting of the Advisory Board will be on June 17 and will be held from 1 PM to 4:30 PM at the
Community Building located at the Park County Fairgrounds. The letter prepared by Mrs. Schmidt will be a topic
of discussion. The discussion will take place at approximately 2 PM and I will forward you a copy of the final
agenda once completed.
Thank you for the opportunity for initial discussion on this issue.
From: dachsville@gmail.com
To: eddiekochman@aol.com
Sent: 6/9/2014 10:45:10 A.M.
