RULE 2 - PERMITS <br />South End Facilities <br />The southern portal area and related surface facilities are located in the `V/ of Section 2 and the 1, <br />of' Section 3, T6N. R87NV. and in the \N';, of Section 35 and the E'/, of Section 34. T5N_ R87W <br />adjacent to Little Grassy Creek. All facilities have been located to maintain a Illllllllllllll buffer ZoIle <br />of 100 feet between the facilities disturbance limits and Little Grasse Creek with a short section of <br />Road B running adjacent to Little Grass\ Creek within the 100 -loot streanl buffer zone. This <br />section of road waS Constructed pl'lor to the lmplernentatlon of streanl blllfCr rifles and was part of <br />the old Seneca II Mine. An oval pit will be excavated to expose the Wadge Coal Sear. develop a <br />face -up area, and provide access to the coal seam and mine portals. The perimeter of the face -up <br />will be marked with slg►ls warning persons entering the area that blasting may occur. Warning <br />signs will comply with applicable provisions of Rule 4.02, and \\ill be maintained so long as the <br />associated dangers exist. Dour portals and main entries w ill be established for mine access for the <br />followin(,: <br />• Intake Air <br />• Men and Material Access (temporary belt for initial development) <br />• Belt -Entry <br />• Return Air (main exhausting fan) <br />The overburden material excavated fironi the face -up area will be used to build pads to the North and <br />to the south of the face -up area. The pads will be utilized for coal stockpile areas and for mine <br />facilities. Other mine facilities will be located in close proximity to the face -up and coal stockpile <br />areas. as shown and listed on Mar 2.05.3 -MIA. Mine Facilities Map (South End).
