PUBLIC NOTICE
<br />Minrec, Inc., 627 24 1/2 Road, Unit H, Grand Junction, CO 81505 has submitted a complete
<br />application for a technical revision to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety for its
<br />North Thompson Creek Mines, mining permit no. C- 1981 -025. This technical revision number
<br />28 provides a spillway design for Pond 9 in compliance with rules 4.05.6(4) and 4.05.9(2). This
<br />technical revision will also make an incidental permit boundary revision. Approximately 7.5
<br />acres of surface land will be added to the permit boundary. The refuse pile sediment pond will
<br />be incorporated into the permit by this revision. The 7.5 acres of surface land was released
<br />from the permit in 2010 through technical revision number 25 and bond release number 6.
<br />There will not be any new surface disturbance since this area was previously included in the
<br />permit boundary
<br />The permit area consists of the lands located in Sections 27, 28, and 35, T 8 S, R 89 W, 6th
<br />P.M. and Sections 2 and 3 T 9 S, R 89 W, 6th P.M. more fully described below. The surface of
<br />the mine permit area is owned by the North Thompson -Four Mile Mineral and Land Corporation
<br />(portions of sections 27, 34 and 35 T 8 S), the Crystal River Ranch Company (portions of
<br />sections 2 and 3 T 9 S, and sections 34 and 35 T 8 S), and the U. S. Forest Service (portion of
<br />section 27 T 8 S).
<br />The mine permit area is located approximately 9.5 miles from the bridge across the Crystal
<br />River on County Road 108, (North Thompson Creek Road). The permit area can be located on
<br />the U.S.G.S. 7.5 minute Stony Ridge, CO quadrangle map. The total permit area encompasses
<br />1,086 acres of which 20 acres are on USDA -FS managed surface.

<br />The total permit area contains 1,086 acres.
<br />This revision will add the following described 7.5 acres to the permit boundary. The land is
<br />owned by North Thompson -Four Mile Mineral and Land Corporation.

<br />submitted to and additional information may be obtained from the Division of Reclamation,
<br />Mining and Safety at the above address. Written comments must be received by the Division of
<br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety within 10 days after the date of this publication in order to be
<br />considered.
