<br />Minrec, Inc., 527 24 1/2 Road, Unit H, Grand Junc-
<br />tion, CO 81555 has submitted a complete applica-
<br />tion for a technical revision to the Division of Rec-
<br />lamation, Mining and Safety for its North Thompson
<br />Creek Mines, mining permit no. C -1981 -025. This
<br />technical revision number 28 provides a spillway
<br />design for Pond 9 in compliance with rules
<br />4.05.5(4) and 4.05.9(2).
<br />The permit area consists of the lands located in
<br />Sections 27, 28, and 35, T 8 S, R 89 W, 5th P.M.
<br />and Sections 2 and 3 T 9 S, R 89 W, 5th P.M. more
<br />fully described below. The surface of the mine
<br />permit area is owned by the North Thompson -Four
<br />Mile Mineral and Land Corporation (portions of
<br />sections 27, 34 and 35 T 8 S), the Crystal River
<br />Ranch Company (portions of sections 2 and 3 T 9
<br />S, and sections 34 and 35 T 8 S), and the U. S.
<br />Forest Service (portion of section 27 T 8 S).
<br />The mine permit area is located approximately 9.5
<br />miles from the bridge across the Crystal River on
<br />County Road 108, (North Thompson Creek Road).
<br />The permit area can be located on the U.S.G.S. 7.5
<br />minute Stony Ridge, CO quadrangle map. The to-
<br />tal permit area encompasses 1,085 acres of which
<br />20 acres are on USDA -FS managed surface.

<br />The total permit area contains 1,086 acres.

<br />Clerk and Recorder's Office, Garfield County
<br />Courthouse, Glenwood Springs, CO and at the of-
<br />fices of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and
<br />Safety, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver, CO,
<br />80203, (303) 866 -3567. Written comments re-
<br />garding this application may be submitted to and
<br />additional information may be obtained from the
<br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety at the
<br />above address. Written comments must be re-
<br />ceived by the Division of Reclamation, Mining and
<br />Safety within 10 days after the date of this publica-
<br />tion in order to be considered.
