PERMIT#: M-1996-064
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS:TCW
INSPECTION DATE:June 11,2014
within the Stevens Lease permit boundary, and appears to be on another property. Aerial photos show the
disturbance to be pre-1999. From Operator records, Mr.Tibbetts was able to determine that the disturbance
occurred between 1952 and the 1960s, but additional information was not available. It does not appear that
Acme or Denver Brick was responsible for the disturbance.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1) The weed control plan should be implemented as soon as possible to minimize weeds having a chance
to seed.
2) A Technical Revision to both the mine plan and the reclamation plan is needed to address the
increased affected area, grading of the highwalls for reclamation, and to include future drilling work that may
occur within the permitted area.
3) Erosion control measures should be addressed following mining work this summer. If mining work
does not occur, erosion control measures should be implemented as soon as feasible.
4) A bond increase will be likely following the submittal of the Technical Revision to include additional
area that is disturbed.
5) A follow-up inspection should be scheduled for the fall of 2014 to assess the status of the site at that
time.
PHOTOGRAPHS
Acme Brick Company
Castle Rock,Colorado 80109
(303)688-6951
Kline ID# M-96-064
CAUTION
Ne Lb1J11y SPEED IpRT .0..,.
15-
Photo I: Permit sign at entry Photo 2: Southwest permit boundary corner marker
Page 4 of 7
