Regarding the road construction. The only pierce of equipment that will be in use will be a mid-sized
excavator. The road ways are intended for nawigation of excavator only not other vehicles. Minimal
disturbance is expected with only slight clearing of obstacles such as boulders and stabilizing Scree
fields. The road way between pits will be more established being across the profile of slope which is at
an approximate 30*grade and a fifteen foot wide road could have an approximate 8 foot head wall.
6.3.5 Exhibit D Reclamation Plan
Reclamation of roads starts with careful construction, and keeping minimal disturbance where possible.
Where road is cut into side of hill the debris will be packed close to roads edge allowing easy access to
back fill. When top soils are encountered they will be berm near the areas they occur and hay retaining
bundles will be used to preserve the top soils and maintain with seeding.Once the area is no longer
prospected, these areas top soils will be replaced in their natural location.
Reference the existing grade,is generalized at a 30*slope. Due to the slump effect of the over burden at
times it will be steeper,or near flat. The flat a reas usually have a higher concentration of top soils.
Steep areas have greater number of boulders up to 4 tons.
6.3.5 Exhibit E Map
Additional items amended to Mining Plan Map
Over burden stock piles will remain on or near road areas, topsoil stock piles will also remain on or near
areas that will be re seeded. It is hard to map such areas on map as stock piles will be gathered as
approached during construction.
Additional items amended to Reclamation Plan Map
Currently the only areas to be reclaimed at end of this season mining, are the two pits, and camping
areas. Future reclamation of road ways will need between 6 to 8 feet of overburden to be replaced
which are stock piled along road bank.Top soils are scarce and usually only occur at a thickness of 6
inches to 1%foot,of which will be stock piled in the general areas where reseeding will occur.
6.3.6 Exhibit F
Reference a copy of the Plan of Operations, has been submitted to the Salida Ranger district as.of
5/22/2014 in the care of Ranger Chris Welker. Awaiting approval. The POO will be provided to the
Bureau within 7 days after receipt by mine owner.
