4 ' Gt1ti
Colorado State Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety RECEIVED
May 23, 2014 10,'1 W 4 2014
6.3.4 Exhibit C—Mining Plan UNISMOF RECLAMATION
Regarding the storage buildings on mine site. There will be no permanent structures.TheCamp g and
storage units refer to,two 10 x 15 foot solid wall canvas tents. One is intended to be for sleeping with
storage of crews personal property and the second for cooking and supply storage i.e.mess tent. There
will be additional coverage for environmental toilet, privy. All structures are portable and will be
removed at end of digging season August 31,2014.
Regarding the fuel storage on mine site.There.will be no storage of fuels on site. Fueling will be by a
DOT certified tank 4-wheel drive truck that will deliver fuel as needed, approximately once a week. This
vehicle is provided to us by the same company/providing rental of the excavator, and the fuel truck will
not be parked on mine site. There will be a designated fueling site, with fuel havoc supplies on site
within designated fueling area, and catch pan s in case of emergency contamination while fueling
excavator. The proposed fueling site will be on US Forest road way.Total anticipated work time for
excavator is less than 150 hours.See map for-fueling site location.
Regarding the two acres disturbance on mine site. The mine site contains approximately 9.9 acres, and is
the intent of mine owner to explore no more than 2 acres on this site. It is likely that no more than a%Z
an acres will be prospected on in any one season, given the restraints of a short digging season,
aproximately.3 months, and the logistics of hand sorting material,to extract gem minerals. Reclaiming
will be done after each season with the exception of roadways which will be reclaimed by end of final
mining reclamation plan projected to 2024. If mineralized areas are located, that cannot be fully
explored in a single season, the mine owner v►iill still back fill the pits to protect deposits from looting by
claim jumpers. It is the mine owners intention to leave no exposed pits between seasons. The pits and
road ways calculate .27 acres, and that would be the extent of disturbance this season. There is no
further disturbance projected,or planned for this year's digging exploration, beyond what the map
illustrates.
Regarding the length of roadways. There will be a 400 foot roadway between pits roughly trending east
west in a horizontal plan connecting the two pits. The question on the access road, from existing forest
Service road, is at best a speculation. Due to the irregular terrain, it is the mine owners intention to put
in a road that will cause the least amount of dlisturbance. Due to the pitch of the property,a steep
incline road with high upslope benching, would be to destructive and time consuming. So a more
gradual transition to match slope could also be used. By varying the angle of approach, the entrance
road could double in length. A 300 foot of road length should be ample to carry out.The primary use of
this road/trail is to accommodate our excavator to reach its fueling site.
/1A /es {` t9 91 4et9 1+HB/P 1 U ni ri ✓t ' . /
