EXHIBIT H
WILDLIFE INFORMATION
The Parks and Wildlife Service (formerly Division of Wildlife) made a recommendation during
the 110 permit process that they did not anticipate any significant impacts to wildlife at the
subject location. We have contacted the local office to reconfirm the findings made in 2000.
The Division received comments from the Division of Water Resources, Colorado parks and
Wildlife and History Colorado. Comments addressed.
Division of Water Resource: Approval of conditions and statement that proposed operation
does not anticipate exposing groundwater. Therefore, exposure of groundwater must not
occur during or after mining operations. Other water will be used at permit site. Any
exposed groundwater will be backfilled immediately.
History Colorado: Noted a previously recorded cultural resource report indicating the area has
incomplete information inventoried for cultural inventories. Should human remains be
discovered during mining operations the applicant would follow requirements under state law.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife: Efforts should be made to maintain and reestablish the high
agricultural and wildlife values of the Yust Ranch during and after mining. This has been
successfully completed under existing permitted area and applicant will ensure it continues to
expanded area. Control and monitoring of noxious weeds as specified in reclamation will be
completed.
MUST RANCH GRAVEL PIT
112 CONVERSION APPLICATION
M 2000-014 Page 9
