Prospecting Plan;
Project Description:
➢ No new access roads will be required. Existing roads will be used to reach
each waste dump and sample points. The waste dumps may need to be
traversed by equipment. No topsoil and little if any vegetation (with the
exception of a few pine trees on some dumps) are present on the waste
dumps. Also, the proposed travel surface is firm. Therefore, little of no
impact to the surface due to equipment travel is expected.
➢ Exploration methods will include hand sampling using a shovel and five
gallon buckets, an auger mounted on a "bobcat ", tracked or wheeled
vehicle or sampled using a small backhoe or other similar device. (The
proposed backhoe bucket is small, approximately two feet by two feet or
less.)
➢ Sampling may occur during any season of the year to include the winter
where access may be obtained.
➢ The workforce will consist of up to two people, not counting New West
Reclamation supervisory personnel.
➢ The Operation's schedule will be 6 days per week, during daylight hours.
(We will comply with County noise regulations as required.)
➢ There will be no tailings produced.
➢ There will be no suction dredging associated with this operation.
Equipment:
Project equipment and vehicles will consist of pickup trucks, an auger mounted on a
"bobcat" or on a tracked or wheeled vehicle and/or a small backhoe or other similar
equipment and supply /sample truck. Following is an example of a typical track auger
which may be used.
