NEW ELK COAL.
COMPANY
RDA Bet Addition: This belt line will supply NEOC with an alternative transportation
of refuse waste material up to the RDA site. This belt line will connect to the
existing RDA belt infrastructure just south of Containment Pond 4 and be
suspended across the existing ground not to disturb the current habitat, With
exceptions of, Cable Poles and the steel base for the foundation of the head roller.
This first section of belt may be installed on legs once on the topsoil stockpile pad.
With the belt being suspended on the cable lines the existing drainage will not be
changed in any way and all ditch lines will remain undisturbed and remain in
working order. The belt line will terminate just northwest of the topsoil stockpile #2
and a second belt will commence from there bi) the west a" the haulage road.
This belt will progress along the haulage road for +/- ISW as DWDA Pile 2 is
relocated to the refuse disposal area (RDA). This belt line will be placed on stands
and anchored to the ground to prevent movement. This belt may be
rernoved/retrdcted once all material is relocated to the RDA; leaving just the first
suspended section for transportation of refuse waste to the RDA.
Culvert C -19 Installation: C -19 is to be installed at the four way intersection at the
main gate entrance to the mine site. This is located along the easterly section of
the road. It will transport run -off from the outlet of Culvert C -9 across the road to
the north and dump out east of the outlet of Culvert C-8 and into Ditch D -13. This
is to reduce the amount of water that has to travel Ditch D-16 and the culvert
injunction to D -16. This Culvert will be a minimum of 24" and all culverts (C-64,
C -72, C -73, and C -74) down flow line will be upgraded to 24" (from 18') as well.
Data enclosed to support this technical revision:
TR -70 Transmittal Letter Dated May 20, 2014
TR -70 Technical Revision Application Dated May 20, 2014
*TR -70 Map 13 Dated April 30, 2014
*TR -70 RDA Haul Road Plan & Profile Dated April 20, 2014
*TR -70 Map 11 Sheet 1 Dated April 30, 2014
*TR -70 Map 11 Sheet 3 Dated April 30, 2014
TR -70 Public Notice
TR -70 Exhibit 19 -25 Dated May 21,2014
Copy of the RDA Access Road Procedures
*Maps being reviewed and signed by Engineer and sent separately.
Sincerely,
54-P
Louis Head
Secretary
12250 State Hwy 12 PHONE (303) 300 -8877 Or (303) 300 -8879
Weston, Colorado 81091 FAX ((719) 868 -0044
