May 21, 2014 C- 1982 - 057 /Seneca 11 -W Mine JDM <br />Pond 016 and PM -2 <br />Pond 017 was stable and well vegetated. The primary riser pipe and emergency spillway were stable. Discharge <br />was observed through the flume at the time of the inspection. No problems were noted with the exception of the <br />following: <br />- the access road along the north side of the pond has been damaged with cutting of the road going into the pond. <br />- A spring discharges along the slope north of the road and runs in the road eventually draining into the pond. No <br />damage was noted; however Dennis Beugay of Peabody Energy discussed diverting the water from the spring in <br />order to avoid water runniniz on the access road. <br />Pond 017 Pond 017 with Damage to Access Road <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) Surfacing and Maintenance 4.03. 1(5) and <br />(6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />Roads throughout the mine site were stable and accessible with no problems noted, with the exception of the Pond <br />017 access road identified in the Hydrologic Balance section of this report. <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 8 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br />
