Inc. <br />Reporting Per od: 5.l 1.14 through 5.17.14 <br />Ambient Temperature Ranges for reporting period: <br />High: 36"F to 64 "F <br />Low: 13 "17 to 40 "F <br />Ames: Continuing construction tasks for the VLF. <br />Weather conditions for reporting period: <br />Cloud Cover: Partly cloudy to overcast. <br />Precipitation: Snow Monday through Thursday and <br />rain Friday right. <br />Wind: Variable <br />Planning: Continuing construction activities and scheduling for the VLF. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: <br />1) Earthworks <br />A) VLF (PSSA, Phase I, Phase II) <br />Topsoil 1 Overburden Stripping: No topsoil stripping occurred. <br />Production drilling_ Production driiiing occurred within the VLF limits. <br />Production blasting: Three (3) production blasts occurred within the VLF. <br />Structural Fill: <br />Material was pushed to a Cat 992 loader filling Cat 777 haul trucks at the PSSA floor from Cat dozers downslope of <br />stations A5+00 tc A10 +00. The material was transported to the ADR haul road fill area near stations 55+00 to <br />65+00 and placed as structural fill using a D10 dozer. A Cat CS563 smooth drum roller compacted till while a Cat <br />330 excavator equipped with a rock hammer broke apart oversize material. The structural fill was placed and <br />compacted per project specification. <br />A Cat 980 loader and Cat 740 haul trucks were used to remove undersized material from the rip rap plant area. The <br />material was transported and placed as structural fill near stations 60+00 to 65+00 at the ADR haul road fill area <br />using a Cat D9 dozer. A Cat CS563 smooth drum roller compacted fill. The structural fill was placed and <br />compacted per project specification. <br />A Cat GPS D8 dozer graded upslope and dowrl lope of stations C0+00 to C4+00. Excess material was pushed to a <br />Cat 980 loader and a John Deere 850 excavator that loaded out Cat 740 haul trucks from the ADR platform area. <br />The material was transported to the PSSA Embankment and placed as structural fill by a Cat D8 dozer and near <br />stations 55+00 to 60+00 at the ADR haul road fill area using a Cat D10 dozer.
