Weather conditions at the time of the inspection <br />were clear; ground conditions appeared to be dry. The mine is currently mining in longwall panel B -15; refuse <br />material from the wash plant is being placed in Gob Piles 42 and 43. A train was being loaded at the time of the <br />inspection. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage —Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />Ponds C, D, F, and J all held water. No water was observed in any ditches or diversions. <br />PROCESSING WASTE /COAL MINE WASTE PILES Rule 4.10 and 4.11 Drainage Control; Surface <br />Stabilization; Placement: <br />Gob Pile 42 <br />Grading and compaction was underway in the TR -76 expansion area of the pile, on benches 2 and 3, and on the <br />northeastern portion of the pile, on the upper bench. <br />Refuse material has been end - dumped on the eastern edge of the pile, and material was being rehandled and <br />compacted on the upper bench near the outslope. <br />Diversion and collection ditches appeared to be clear and functional.
