Stover 6t Associates <br />2352 N. 7t" Street, Ste B <br />Grand Junction, CO 81501 <br />RE: McClane Canyon Mine, Permit C- 1980 -004 <br />2014 First Quarter Water Sampling Report <br />Mr. Stover, <br />The Division has completed its review of McClane Canyon Mine's first quarter water sampling <br />report of 2014. The Division reviewed the water sampling report based upon the requirements <br />within the McClane Canyon Mine's permit and finds it in compliance of the following <br />requirements: <br />Groundwater Quality Monitoring <br />1. Quarterly monitoring of wells GW -1 and GW -9 for Static Water Level, pH, Temperature <br />and Specific Conductance. <br />• Static water level, pH, temperature and specific conductance were all <br />measured. No issues are observed. <br />2. Water quality sampling of mine water discharges as required by NPDES and CDOH <br />permit. <br />• NPDES reports were received by the Division as a separate report. <br />3. Monitoring of all non -seeps inflows into the mine to include source, quantity, duration <br />and quality (pH, Electrical Conductance and temperature). <br />• All mine inflows are documented with the mine's annual hydrology report. <br />4. Monitor quantities of water discharge from the mine, consumed in the mine and <br />imported for use in the mine. <br />• All quantities of water discharge from the mine, consumed in the mine and <br />imported for use in the mine are reported with the mine's annual hydrology <br />report. <br />5.
