The Division has ident'rfied these channels as requiring additional armoring to protect against erosion.
The operator intends to utilize an erosion control blanket named LANDLOCK TRM 450 made by Synthetic Industries.
The material is available through Bowman Construction Supply of Denver. The material will be placed over the
seeded channel so that the vegetation can grow through it. The manufacturer's recommendation is that the shear
in the channel be limited to 2.0 Ib/sgft . The analysis shown above indicates that the channels ident'rfied by the
Division will have a shear of less than 2.0 Ib/sgft for the design event.
The blanket will be hitched into the sides and ends of the channel in accordance with the manufacturers
instructions. The entire length of the channel will be protected with the erosion control blanket.
