CPW has reviewed the Memo dated 5/72014 by Resource Engineering, Inc., and the e-mail provided by Art Etter. After discussing this further with the aquatic biologists, and given the requirements of the EA, we are okay with working on the structures no later than June 15th, provided Bowie sticks to the 5 day construction window as outlined in Art's e-mail. Although this may result in an overlap into the front end of spawning for cutthroat, we feel that the effects should be minimal if they complete it within the five days as described. We anticipate some local negative effects on this years recruitment, but since the population extends upstream of the proposed work locations, upstream recruitment may help to reduce the effects of the in- stream work on the lower stream segments.
