COLORADO CULTURAL RESOURCE SURVEY <br />Archaeological Isolated Find /Feature Form OAHP 1408 <br />Rev. 11/10 <br />This form is not to be used for phenomena that are eligible for the National Register or are part of the built <br />environment. To be only used for phenomena that meet the requirements of the recorder's definition as provided below. <br />A map at 1:24,000 scale with IF clearly plotted must be attached. <br />1. Recorder's Definition of Isolated Find: Artifacts or features that do not meet the definition of a site, which is defined <br />as a locus of previous (50 years minimum) human activity for which the preponderance of evidence suggests either one- <br />time diagnostically interpretable use, repeated use over time, or multiple classes of activities. <br />5. Describe Artifact(s) and their distribution: This isolated find consists of one piece of farming equipment which <br />appears to be a plow or cultivator. It has a trailer connection for use with a tractor. It is painted red, but has rusted <br />heavily. There are the remains of a trademark in white lettering, but it is too deteriorated to read. <br />❑ No artifacts <br />12. Describe Feature (include dimensions): None <br />❑ No features <br />13. Cultural Affiliation and Justification: European American; typical farming equipment style attributed to the late <br />1900s agricultural industry in the area <br />14. Time Period and Justification: Late 1900s. There are Minneapolis - Moline tractor and combine parts nearby (IF <br />5RT3265) that likely date between 1935 -1965 or later (Minnesota Historical Society, http: / /greatriversnetwork.org). <br />15. Relevant environmental information (e.g., elevation, topography, soils, vegetation, nearby water source): <br />The isolated find is located in the Twentymile Park Valley on a flat plain adjacent to a tributary of Fish Creek, which <br />was flowing at the time of the inventory. <br />16. Is this isolate located in a cultural landscape? ❑ Yes ® No <br />If yes, describe: <br />17. Why is this isolated find not eligible for the National Register? This isolated find does not meet any criteria <br />required for inclusion on the National Register. Specifically, this type of farming equipment is well- documented and does <br />not have any potential to yield any information important to this area's history. <br />18.
