Walsenburg Sand and Gravel, CO. <br />M- 1978 -283 - Sand Arroyo Pit <br />Prepared April 16, 2014 <br />EXHIBIT L RECLAMATION COST ESTIMATE <br />The following Reclamation Cost estimate is based on the <br />assumption that there will be no more than 25.00 acres ± disturbance <br />at any -one time. Of this area 2.52 acres will be plant site; 2.15 <br />acres is blow sand borrow area; 1.40 acre is a sand bank mining area <br />and 1.00 acre is internal haul roads. Of the remaining 17.93 acres <br />approximately 40% or 7.17 acres (5785 yds) will need minor grading <br />and seeding and the remaining is area reclaimed, has adequate <br />vegetation due to self reclamation or was never disturbed by mining. <br />The mine working face will be 1000 feet long by 15 feet high and be <br />reclaimed using a cut /fill grading method. Four hundred (400) feet <br />is in the blow sand area and 600 feet is along the channel bank that <br />has been mined. Since the site is mostly within a dry wash there is <br />no topsoil available to be spread over the disturbed area. The <br />disturbed areas (14.24 acres @ 6" deep) would be smoothed using a D6T <br />dozer and then seeded. At that time we will have to do 1,560 cy of <br />cut \fill sloping (1.56 cyd /lft). A D6T is used for calculation <br />purposes to do the shaping and grading in this calculation and the <br />mobilization haul distance is 5.00 miles. The revegetation cost <br />figure used includes grass seed, weed control and drilling costs. <br />ESTIMATED UNIT COSTS FOR RECLAMATION ITEMS: <br />Unit Cost <br />1.
