<br />Soil Reaction: Slightly to moderately alkaline. In Utah reaction ranges to strongly alkaline.

<br />Abracon, Chr r, and oC bbra soils have soil moisture control sections that receive loss precipitation in May
<br />and June. Anasazi. C ci , Ch
<br />Wade and Sazi soils are moderately deep. Chroder, Milok, Mivida and
<br />Yattle soils have loss than 18 percent clay in the particle -size control section Nala sods have more than 15%
<br />rock fragments in the particle -size control section.
<br />GEOGRAPHIC SETTING: Harvey soils are on hills, swales, plateaus, bajadas, mesas, and fan piedmonts.
<br />Slope gradients range from 0 to 15 percent. Mean annual precipitation typically ranges from 10 to 14 inches with
<br />a summer maximum. In some areas the series has ranged to 16 inches ofprecipitation. In Utah the annual
<br />precipitation ranges as low as 8 inches. Mean annual temperature ranges from 47 to 57 degrees F. The frost -free
<br />period ranges from 120 to 190 days and elevation ranges from 4,700 to 7,800 feet.
<br />GEOGRAPHICALLY ASSOCIATED SOILS: These are the Clapper, Demon, Ildefonso, Korman, anzano,
<br />Neesopah, Nepesta, PiW_nn, Rocky Ford and Witt soils. Clapper and Ildeforlso soils have a skeletal control
<br />section. Dean soils have carbonatic mineralogy. Korman soils have a coarse -loamy control section. Manzano
<br />soils have a mollic epipedon. Neesopah, Nepesta and Witt soils have an argillic horizon Pinon sods have
