9. Subsidence: We are concerned about possible subsidence at the Vento office building and County Road 93.
Also it seems that County Road 15 has subsided and the Florence water line is in the middle of it. These need
to be addressed and remediated as soon as possible for public safety and definitely before the final subsidence
report which was delayed from 2012 until 2013 and it's now April 2014. Reference:
10. Road Maintenance: Before the property is turned back to the property owners, the roads need to be maintained
so that they are passable without requiring a four wheel drive vehicle as they were previously so that we will
have full access to our property.
11. Final Report: We request that the field data sheets be included since there has been such a lack of conformity
to the planned and planted vegetation that Kent Croft does not plan to include according to his Southfield
2012 Revegetation Monitoring report that was scanned on September 3, 2013. I am also concerned that Mr
Croft's GPS instrument's precision. Reference: Dr. Corley's response to EFCPs memo dated 9/8/2013.
It also seems that in the past, when others have made a request, the Division investigated it but when the Vento family
has raised issues, the Division didn't help us work toward a solution. We do not have an engineering background and
have been frustrated with the lack of follow through and/or suggestions as to options to consider that the Division
might have made.
Our family is trying to be good stewards for the land that our grandparents originally leased in 1935 and purchased in
1950. We are deeply saddened to see our property become mainly rabbit brush with so little diversity, the quality of
water be undrinkable even for livestock, let alone for human consumption and the aquifer changed forever.
Thanks
Sincerely,
Linda Saunders and Tena Gallagher, K2T, LLC
Summary of Inflow Reports taken from annual Hydrology Reports
1985 No Annual Hydrology Report
1986 Bishop, Brogden, Rump prepared the report 142.5 ac /ft 141.9 ac /ft for the North Entry Well.
1987 No Annual Hydrology Report of Laserfishe prints out as squares and states loading
1988 Inflow data Mine inflows down 10 %.
6/88 1,000,000
7/88 1,006,200
8/88 2,250,000
9/88 2,100,000
10/88 313,285
11/88 640,415
12/88 387,400
1989 Annual Hydrology Report Total 6,495,400 according to our calucations
1/89 1,511,200
2/89 387,400
3/89 1,912,400
4/89 720,400
5/89
6/89 1,964,000
1990 Annual Hydrology Report
1991 No Annual Hydrology Report just Letter of GTransmittal
1992 Annual Hydrology Report 156 Ac /ft Total 62.4 from the North Entry Well continuous duration of inflow into the
