Inc. <br />Reporting Period: 4.06.14 through 4.12.14 <br />Ambient Temperature Ranges for reporting period: Weather conditions for reporting period: <br />High: 36T to 58" F Cloud Cover: Partly cloudy to overcast. <br />Low: 34T to 27°F Precipitation: Snow April 7, 2014 <br />Wind: Variable <br />Ames: Continuing construction tasks for the VLF. <br />Planning: Continuing construction activities and scheduling for the VLF. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: <br />1) Earthworks <br />A) VLF (PSSA, Phase I, Phase II) <br />Topsoil I Overburden Stripping: No topsoil stripping occurred. <br />Production drilling: Production drilling occurred within the VLF limits. <br />Production blasting: Four (4) production blasts occurred within the VLF. <br />Structural Fill: <br />A Cat 992 loader removed material from down slope of stations B840 to 1310+00 and ADR Haul Road stations <br />5 +00 to 10+00. The material was hauled in Cat 777 haul trucks to the ADR haul road fill near stations 51+00 to <br />54+00 and the buttress fill down slope from stations J6+00 to J10+00 and J12+00 to A4+00 and was placed as <br />structural fill by Cat dozers. The structural fill was placed and compacted per project specification. <br />A Cat 320 excavator and a Cat 330 hammer worked on cutting the' /2:1 slope to grade while a Cat dozer stockpiled <br />the cut material for removal. A John Deere 870 excavator removed the material from the Y21 slope between station <br />A0 +00 and the Highway 67 tie -in on the Cripple Creek side. The material was transported using Cat 740 haul <br />trucks for placement as structural fill in the buttress fill down slope of stations J6+00 to A 4+00, the Midway fill <br />upslope of stations H0+00 to H2+00, and at the PSSA embankment fill. The structural fill was placed and <br />compacted per method specification.
