Watterson <br />Twentymile Coal Company <br />29515 Routt County Road #27 <br />Oak Creek, CO 84067 <br />RE: Twentymile Coal Company, Permit C- 1982 -056 <br />First Quarter 2014 Sediment Pond Inspection Report Review <br />Dear Mr. Watterson: <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (CDRMS) has reviewed and found the above <br />referenced report to be in compliance with the following CDRMS regulation: <br />4.05.9(17) - Examined at least quarterly by a qualified person designated by the operator, for <br />appearance of structural weakness and other hazardous conditions. <br />4.05.9(17) - A copy of the report shall be submitted to the Division on a quarterly basis. <br />The first quarter sediment pond inspection reports were received by the Division on 09 April 2014. <br />Sediment pond inspections were conducted by TC during the last week of March 2014. <br />It is noted that maintenance items conducted include the dredging of the FCB Ponds during the winter. <br />Maintenance items required include: clearing of flume and adding a new guage at Pond B, clearing <br />vegetation at Pond D, reinstallation of the flume at Pond F, restart the aerator at the Waste Water <br />Treatment Pond #2, and the installation of new baffles at the FCB Ponds in the Spring of 2014. These <br />items reflect maintenance issues noted in the Division's inspection reports. <br />If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
