Alternatively, the <br />material may be hauled off -site as pit run for direct use or processing elsewhere. <br />In addition to the portable processing facility, a portable asphalt plant may also be used on the <br />site as needed. The asphalt plant would be located in the mine pit near the portable processing <br />facility to minimize material handling and hauling distances. <br />A mine office /scale house trailer and mine equipment maintenance building will be established <br />near the site entrance. The office /scale house and maintenance building area may be used for <br />employee parking, equipment fueling/lubricating, or equipment storage. <br />Commodities to be Mined and Intended Use <br />Sand and gravel for use as construction materials will be the primary products produced from the <br />proposed Connell Carr Pit site. Test pits have verified that commercial deposits of sand and <br />gravel exist up to 25 feet below the surface of the ground.
