In
either case, I am the authorized agent for these claims as filed with the BLM. I will be submitting
descriptions of other planned activities on unpatented mining claims as soon as possible (after tax
season). The other activities for which I do not already have either prospecting permits or mining
permits are field exploration for possible mineral value and entail hand digging with very minor impact.
To date, none of these activities have been deemed by the Forest Service as having a significant impact
nor requiring a reclamation bond; however, in light of recent interpretations, I will submit notice of all
our field exploration and ask you to make the determination. These activities are what have previously
been categorized as "discovery" or "casual collecting". Nevertheless, one site has been showing some
promise, and as I have historically done, if and when it shows some economic value, I will submit for
appropriate prospecting permits as required by the state.
Sincerely,
Joseph L.
