Lorencito Canyon Mine, C1996084 <br />The potential for a bond release application was discussed. SB gave a brief description of <br />the process including some of the critical times involved (e.g. shrubs must be in the <br />ground for a minimum of 6 years if they are to contribute to meeting re- vegetation <br />success criteria). It was acknowledged that significant areas of the mine site are actively <br />eroding (including: outside of fill 8; the slopes around the "nob "; the slopes around the <br />shrub plot and pond cleaning area; the area above pond 6 which had been stripped for fill <br />6), no conclusion was reached on how to handle these problematic areas. <br />Action items: <br />a. NECC to submit Annual Reclamation Report for 2013 <br />b. LS to send 2007 ARR map (showing years re- seeded) to JT <br />c. LS to establish: <br />• Whether anymore bond can be released before final bond release. Is <br />phase 2 an option? <br />• What the cover, production and woody plant density standards are <br />• Whether the roads and ponds have been formally approved as permanent <br />structures. If not, what do NECC need to do in order to gain approval? <br />d. NECC to follow up on summer 2013 vegetation sampling by Arcadis will <br />provide valuable information to plan a bond release strategy <br />e. NECC to submit annual pond certifications ASAP (they are well overdue) <br />f. NECC to complete the update of officers and directors information, which will <br />allow... <br />g. ... LS to approve RN3 and publish findings <br />h. LS to follow upon new weepholes in pond 9b riser compare to approved design <br />2.
