Expires August 26, 2015 <br />-QID <br />ro <br />90 Legals <br />l <br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />proposes to Approve with conditions Permit Renewal <br />Application No. 3 (RN -3), submitted by New Elk Coal <br />Company, LLC for a coal mining permit at the Lorencito <br />Canyon Mine (Permit No. C- 1996.084). The proposed <br />renewal will allow for continued mining and /or reclamation <br />operations at the site. <br />The Lorencito Canyon Mine is a /an Surface operation <br />located in Las Animas County, approximately 3 miles <br />West of Segundo on Hwy 12. Coal interest is Private, and <br />the surface to be affected is Private land. The permit area <br />encompasses approximately 3,142.00 acres. <br />This proposed decision is based on a finding that the <br />proposed operation will comply with all requirements of <br />the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, <br />Section 34 33 101 et seq., C.R.S., and the regulations <br />promulgated thereunder. <br />A copy of the "Proposed Decision and Findings of <br />Compliance ", including any stipulations, is on file for <br />public inspection at the Colorado Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety, Room 215 Centennial Building, 1313 <br />Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, and at the Las <br />Animas County Clerk and Recorder, 200 East First Street, <br />Room 205, Trinidad, CO 81082. Persons with an interest <br />that may be adversely affected by the proposed decision <br />may request a formal hearing before the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board on the proposed decision.
