Box 459
Florence, CO 81226
RE: Southfield Mine, Permit C- 1981 -014, MR -62 Adequacy Issues
Dear Mr. Patterson:
I have reviewed your submittal for MR -62, and I have identified some missing items:
• The abandonment report for SR22A.
• Affidavits for SR -55 and SR -56. Your response includes a cover letter from Homer McEvers indicating
that the affidavits exist, but the affidavits themselves are not included.
• The abandonment reports for drill holes beginning with "SF -85."
• The abandonment report for SF87 -08. The summary table lists a date of 10/30/89, but the submittal
does not include the report.
I understand that EFCI and your representatives have performed an extension search for abandonment reports
and that some of the relevant reports will likely never be found (or never existed), but indications are that the
reports mentioned above should be available.
Please provide these items in another submittal or explain why they are missing. If you have any questions feel
free to contact me at (303) 866 -3567, extension 8113.
Sincerely,
Robert Zuber, P.E.
Environmental Protection Specialist 11
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
