Marcia Talvitie and Sandy Brown of the Division were joined by Chi
Chi Price, President of Oakridge Energy, Inc. and Mike Savage, of Savage and Savage, Inc.
(consultant to Oakridge). Skies were clear, with breezy conditions, and mild temperatures.
The timing of the inspection was selected to coincide with Oakridge's request for Division
personnel to participate in a review of potential reference areas that could be used to evaluate the
success of revegetation efforts.
PERMITTING UPDATE:
Following the field inspection, all four participants met at the Division's Durango Field Office to
discuss a variety of permitting issues. Oakridge anticipates submitting an application for a
permit revision to accomplish a change in the post- mining land use from its current Industrial -
Commercial- Residential designation to Dryland Pasture. The revision will also incorporate
updated information on the various wells, permanent roads, and the discharge / stormwater
permit.
RN -04: The Division received Oakridge's second adequacy response on Mar. 19. The current
Decision Date of Mar. 31, 2014 will be extended to April 30, 2014 in accordance with a request
made by Oakridge. This will allow the Division sufficient time to review the response and issue
a proposed decision, assuming all adequacy items have been addressed.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS — Rule 5.02.4(1):
• Permit records were inspected at the office of Goff Engineering and Surveying on March 27,
2014.
