As required by Rule 6.4.21(12), please provide the Division <br />with a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for sampling surface and ground water. The <br />SOP should include the following: <br />a) Equipment needed, including calibration procedures and decontamination methods if <br />required. <br />b) Sample collection methods, including well purging, sample labeling and data <br />recording. <br />c) Filtering methods. <br />d) QA/QC Plan. <br />e) Field measurement methods. <br />f) Sample delivery, including chain of custody forms and holding limes. <br />g) Reporting analytical results to the Division. <br />h) Complete list of analytes to be sampled, <br />Sample suites should include the appropriate number of duplicates and blanks; the Division <br />will require at least one blind duplicate per sample event. It is also recommended that <br />additional types of blanks, such as field blanks be included. <br />For surface water sampling, the Applicant Certain parameters are best measured in the field <br />due to changes that start to occur to the water sample immediately after removal from the <br />natural environment. Parameters that must be measured in the field include pH and <br />temperature. <br />
