Information for 2014 Annual Report
Activity in 2013114: The total active extraction pit is now about 2.5
acres, due to a small expansion of the active pit. Total permit affected
land remains at 71.13 acres. Hunt Const storage area remains at about
10.4 acres. A significant amount of construction equipment was
removed from this area in the last year.
Reclamation: No new reclamation was performed as all affected land
is being used. Prior reclamation continues to show excellent cover and
continued development.
Expected Activity in 2014/15: It is unknown what will happen in
the next year as the market remains depressed. However, the market has
improved and more area may be mined in the next year. Probably no
more than an acre or two at the most.
Additional Comments: The operation is in compliance with the
water agreements made with the town of Elizabeth. (Primarily a county
special use requirement but also important for substitute supply plan
compliance.)
Entry into Amendment Area: No affected land has been created in
the amendment area.
