SENECA II MINE <br />2013 ANNUAL RECLAMATION REPORT <br />2012 DISTURBANCE AREA <br />No additional acres were disturbed during 2013. The total disturbed area remains at 271.2 acres. <br />This acreage is reflected on the CDRMS Annual Report Form and is included in the text of the <br />following report. The 2013 Reclamation Map portrays the extent of the disturbance boundaries. <br />BACKFILLING AND GRADING <br />No backfilling occurred in 2013 at Seneca II mine. <br />SOIL AND SPOIL MONITORING <br />SCC is required by Permit C -80 -005 to monitor the salvage, storage, and redistribution of soil <br />and spoil handling operations at Seneca 11 Mine. <br />• Soil Recovery Documentation <br />No additional topsoil was salvaged since no new disturbance occurred. <br />Soil Pit - Topsoil Fertility /Spoil Quality <br />No additional soil pit or spoil samples were collected within the Permanent Program permit area <br />in 2013. <br />• Soil Balance <br />Seneca submitted the final soil balance as Technical Revision No. 31 on June 26, 1997 as the <br />final reclamation — topsoil management plan for Seneca 11. Subsequently, the CDMG approved <br />this final topsoil management plan on December 9, 1997. Hence, no soil balance will be <br />submitted with any further Annual Reclamation Report. <br />• Soil Salvage, Storage and Replacement <br />No additional topsoil was placed in 2013. <br />
