No seeding occurred or was required in 2013.
It should be noted that Woods rose and Golden currant were not included in the Mesic seed mix
since this seed mix was used in the drainage channels.
Although no seeding took place during the year Attachment A will be retained in the report as a
placeholder for future submittals to contain seed tags.
No shrubs or trees were planted in 2013.
• Weed Control
Surveys for noxious weeds were carried out on the PSCM reclaimed areas in 2013. Thistle and
hounds tongue were the primary target species, with lesser activity directed towards areas of
whitetop and mullen. The weed control areas will continue to be monitored in 2014 for
effectiveness and necessary retreatment.
See Attachment B — Weed Control Log for the daily log spreadsheet for a detailed description of
the 2013 herbicide application (actual log is on file at the mine site) and the 2013 Weed Control
Areas map for the weed spraying locations. Note that the building perimeters (office, shop,
etc...) were sprayed where needed but because of the small size of these areas they are not
depicted on the map. Also, all road perimeters were monitored and sprayed where necessary and
may also not be depicted on the map.
2013 ARR
